Abstract

In May 2025, there was year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Padangsidimpuan City of 2.02 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 109.84.
The y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices indicated by an increase in 11 expenditure group indices, namely: food, beverages and tobacco group by 1.14 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.47 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group by 1.87 percent; household equipment, tools and routine maintenance group by 0.53 percent; health group by 0.71 percent; transportation group by 1.02 percent; information, communication, and financial services group by 0.11 percent; recreation, sports, and culture group by 2.80 percent; education group by 2.35 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 1.95 percent; and personal care and other services group by 14.94 percent.
