Abstract

In March 2025, there was year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Padangsidimpuan City of 1.05 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 108.53.
Inflation y-on-y occurred due to an increase in prices indicated by an increase in 10 expenditure group indices, namely: food, beverages and tobacco group; clothing and footwear group; household equipment, tools and routine maintenance group; health group; transportation group; information, communication, and financial services group; recreation, sports, and culture group; education group; food and beverage/restaurant provision group; and personal care and other services group. Meanwhile, the housing, water, electricity, and household fuel groups experienced y-on-y deflation.
The month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate of Padangsidimpuan City in March 2025 was 0.96 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate of Padangsidimpuan City in March 2025 was 0.83 percent.
