Abstract

In April 2025, there was year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Padangsidimpuan City of 2.64 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 110.59.
The y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices indicated by an increase in 10 expenditure group indices, namely: food, beverages and tobacco group by 3.54 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.52 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 1.91 percent; household equipment, tools and routine maintenance group by 0.46 percent; health group by 0.58 percent; recreation, sports and culture group by 2.97 percent; education group by 2.35 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 1.55 percent; and personal care and other services group by 16.24 percent.
